Trial Monitoring: Laye Sekou Camara

Laye Sekou Camara, also known as General K-1 and General Dragon Master, is a former alleged high-ranking member of the rebel group LURD, implicated in war crimes during Liberia’s second civil war. He was arrested in New York on March 26, 2022, on charges of immigration fraud, accused of lying on applications to U.S. authorities to conceal his involvement in the conflict. Camara is set to stand trial on January 21, 2025, at the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Court.
